TGG Membership in Orthodontics Lecture - January 2020

I was asked to speak in London to orthodontic registrars preparing for their examinations.  I was discussing my experiences of the examination itself and how to prepare.

To become an orthodontist, a candidate has to successfully pass the exit examination known as the Membership of Orthodontics (MOrth). There are multiple aspects to the examination including:

  1. The Seen examinations – As part of the exam we have to showcase cases we have treated overthe 3 years.
  2. OSCE – Multiple stations with questions to be answered
  3. Unseen examinations – 15 minutes to assess a case and discuss the diagnosis and treatment plan.

As an orthodontist, it’s a pleasure to be active on the lecture circuit and share my experience to help other colleagues in the profession.  I look forward to participating more as I gain further clinical experience.  In particular, I would like to share my knowledge with fixed braces, Invisalign and lingual braces.

If you would like to see a specialist orthodontist for a consultation, feel free to contact me where we can discuss your needs and start your journey to have straight teeth.
