Dentinal Tubules Congress Lecture - November 2019

One of the best things about my work is I get to go onto the lecture circuit and speak to younger colleagues about my knowledge and experiences.  You have probably seen some of my previous blogs of various lectures I have already carried out.

A well-known dental company, known as Dentinal Tubules, who I worked with in 2014-2015 for a brief period, invited me to speak at their annual congress.  As an orthodontist, it was important to speak about important topics relevant for the dental student’s examinations.

Dental students are aware of the various ways to move teeth (fixed braces, Invisalign, lingual braces) but the may not get the experience at their early stages of training.  My lecture looked at ‘local factors’ which can influence patient’s bites eg. supernumery teeth, hypodontia, trauma, pathology.

As an orthodontist, it’s important to identify the cause of WHY the teeth appear the way they are.  Once I have a clear diagnosis, then an appropriate treatment plan can be formulated to deliver straight teeth!

I have had great feedback from the organisers and been invited to speak again at the 2020 congress.

If you’re interest in having orthodontic treatment in Wolverhampton – either fixed braces, invisalign or lingual braces, feel free to contact me to organise a consultation
